Jane is a founder Director of McGirk PR and, with over twenty years of hands-on experience working in the media and public relations, brings a wealth of practical knowledge, enabling us to deliver creative and effective campaigns on behalf of our clients.

Having worked as a TV presenter and as a newspaper reporter, Jane has an extensive network of contacts within the media. In addition, she has worked as a senior communications adviser for large public and private sector organisations and so she understands the drivers and key issues involved in protecting and enhancing reputations. Jane has particular experience in the hi-tech aerospace and defence sector where she worked for many years, helping to promote and de-mystify complex engineering successes and to foster and improve links between the sector and its key stakeholders. She has direct experience of both external and internal communications management and has managed the PR associated with several large change management programmes and real-life crisis management situations.

Jane is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and has a Masters Degree in Public Relations from Stirling University in Scotland. She is a Fellow of the Industry and Parliament Trust.
